A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to the president of the University of Hawaii.
BE IT
ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 304A, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to part I, subpart A, to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§304A- President
of the university of Hawaii; prohibition on concurrent service. No person shall serve concurrently as
president of the university of Hawaii and the chancellor of any university of
Hawaii campus, including as an acting or interim chancellor."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
