A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects.
BE IT
ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $1,440,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary, and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary is appropriated for fiscal year 2019-2020 for the purpose of capital improvement projects for Mililani middle school, as follows:
1. Plans, design, construction, and equipment for campus-wide sidewalk widening.

Total funding $500,000
2. Plans, design, construction, and equipment for covered play court wall waterproofing and building F drainage improvements.

3. Plans, design, construction, and equipment to replace flooring in portable classrooms 1 to 4.

4. Plans, design, construction, and equipment to resurface bus lane and campus access road.

Total funding $650,000
The sums appropriated for these capital improvement projects shall be expended by the department of education.
SECTION 2. The appropriations made for the capital improvement projects authorized by this Act shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal year for which the appropriations are made; provided that all moneys from the appropriations unencumbered as of June 30, 2022, shall lapse as of that date.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2019.
