A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to the office of hawaiian affairs.
BE IT
ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 10-10, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended to read as follows:
"[[]§10-10[]] Administrator; appointment, tenure, removal.
The board by a majority vote, shall appoint an administrator who shall
serve without regard to the provisions of chapter 76 for a term to be
determined by the board. The board, by [a
two-thirds] majority vote [of all members to which it is entitled],
may remove the administrator [for cause] at any time."
SECTION 2. Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
