A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to education.
BE IT
ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Act 111, Session Laws of Hawaii 2015, as amended by Act 55, Session Laws of Hawaii 2016, is amended by amending section 5 to read as follows:
"Section
5. This Act shall take effect on July 1,
2015 and shall be repealed on July 1, [2020;] 2022; provided that
section 302D-34, Hawaii Revised Statutes, shall be reenacted in the form in
which it read on June 30, 2015."
SECTION 2. Act 114, Session Laws of Hawaii 2015, as amended by Act 55, Session Laws of Hawaii 2016, is amended by amending section 14 to read as follows:
"SECTION
14. This Act shall take effect upon its
approval; provided that the amendments made to section 302D‑34, Hawaii
Revised Statutes, by this Act shall not be repealed when that section is
reenacted on July 1, [2020,] 2022, pursuant to section 5 of Act
111, Session Laws of Hawaii 2015, as amended."
SECTION 3. Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
