A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE FORTIETH REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2020-2021 for the purposes of financing capital improvement projects for the fortieth representative district, as follows
To be expended by the department of education:
A. James Campbell high school, Oahu.
Plans, design, and construction of a Title IX-compliant girls locker room.

B. Ilima intermediate school, Oahu.
Plans, design, and construction for cafetorium renovations.

C. Iroquois Point elementary school, Oahu.
Plans, design, and construction of a playground cover or awning.

D. James Campbell high school, Oahu.
Plans, design, and construction of an athletic complex, including a new stadium, synthetic track, baseball and softball fields, a press box, restrooms, and a concession stand; ground and site improvements; equipment and appurtenances.

To be expended by the department of transportation:
A. North Road Improvements, stretching from Iroquois Point to the city and county line, Oahu
Infrastructure: sidewalk, lighting, drainage, and repaving

B. Fort Weaver Road, Oahu
Construct an additional northbound lane to connect with the H-1 freeway eastbound.

SECTION 2. The appropriation made for the capital improvement projects authorized by this Act shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal biennium for which the appropriation is made; provided that all moneys from the appropriation that are unencumbered as of June 30, 2022, shall lapse as of that date.
SECTION 3. The sums appropriated shall be expended by the designated expending agencies for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 4.
This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2020.
