A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to the division of boating and ocean recreation.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The state auditor shall conduct a comprehensive performance and management audit of the department of land and natural resources' division of boating and ocean recreation. The auditor shall make recommendations to the legislature based on the performance and management audit, as appropriate.
SECTION 2. The auditor shall submit a report on the performance and management audit, including the auditor's findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation, to the legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the regular session of 2021.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
