A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to the Pesticide Subsidy Program.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1.
There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii
the sum of $350,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2020-2021
to be deposited into the pesticide use revolving fund established pursuant to
section 149A-13.5, Hawaii Revised Statutes.
SECTION 2.
There is appropriated out of the pesticide use revolving fund the sum of
$350,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2020-2021
to assist in the eradication
of the coffee berry borer through the pesticide subsidy program established
under Act 105, Session Laws of Hawaii 2014, as amended by Act 152, Session Laws
of Hawaii 2015, as amended by Act 65, Session Laws of Hawaii 2017, as amended
by Act 32, Session Laws of Hawaii 2018, as amended by Act 111, Session Laws of
Hawaii 2019.
The sum appropriated shall be expended by
the department of agriculture for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2020.
