A BILL FOR AN ACT
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2019-2020:
1. To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:
A. Papakolea community development corporation, Oahu
Land acquisition, design, and construction to install new playground equipment including a turf surface, upgrade the bathroom facilities and aging pipes, replace the spectator benches, and design a new basketball court complex; ground and site improvements; and equipment and appurtenances.

2. To be expended by the department of education:
A. President Abraham Lincoln elementary school, Oahu
Equipment to install air conditioning systems in twelve classrooms for grades two to five; ground and site improvements; and equipment and appurtenances.

B. President George Washington middle school, Oahu
Construction and equipment to complete the audio studio project including recording equipment and the specialized expertise of an audio engineer to wire the equipment to exact sound specifications; ground and site improvements; and equipment and appurtenances.

C. President George Washington middle school, Oahu
Plans, design, construction, and equipment for a state-of-the-art band room that is acoustically capable of being integrated into the audio recording system located in the school's audio studio including the upgrade and repurposing of the existing band room to an orchestra and piano room and the existing piano and orchestra room into a chorus and Hawaiian music room, creating a performing arts center for excellence; ground and site improvements; and equipment and appurtenances.

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
