Status

RELATING TO HOUSING.

Requires boundary amendments reflected in certain plans to be adopted in accordance with such approved plans.  Prioritizes infrastructure funding to support planned growth.  Establishes a streamlined approval process for ministerial permits for income categories for which the county did not meet production goals. (HB1209 HD1)

Status

RELATING TO LAND USE.

Requires the Department of Land and Natural Resources to use cooperative resource management strategies to manage and administer the wildlife and wildlife resources of the State.  Prohibits closures of game management areas, wildlife sanctuaries, and public hunting areas unless the Department includes with its decision a listing of findings based on scientific data from a period of at least 10 years that substantiates the decision for the closure and receives a positive recommendation for the closure from the Game Management Advisory Commission.

RELATING TO FISHING.

Requires the Department of Land and Natural Resources to perform a stock assessment on the fish species in the affected area prior to adopting any new rules to regulate fishing.

RELATING TO THE STATEWIDE BOATING PROGRAM.

Defines "state boating facility" to include any day-use mooring buoy system.  Authorizes funds from the boating special fund to be used for any day-use mooring buoy system in the State.

RELATING TO ACQUISITION OF REAL PROPERTY.

Appropriates funds to the Agribusiness Development Corporation for the purchase of a parcel of Molokai Dow DuPont Pioneer Land, tax map key number (2)5-2-11-7.

Status

RELATING TO LAND USE.

Exempts lands set aside by the Governor for the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation from classification as public land subject to management by the Department of Land and Natural Resources.  (HB439 HD1)
