RELATING TO SPECIAL EDUCATION. Appropriates funds to the Department of Education to provide up to $1,690 to each special education classroom teacher for instructional materials and equipment. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

RELATING TO TEACHER HOUSING. Authorizes the Department of Education to develop and implement a housing voucher program for full-time teachers employed at a hard-to-fill public school, including a public charter school. (SB12 HD1)

RELATING TO COMPUTER SCIENCE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. Appropriates funds to the Department of Education to establish a program with eligible entities to develop and implement teacher professional development for computer science courses and content. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD1)

Appropriates funds for a scholarship program to be directed and administered by the Department of Education to make awards to students pursuing teaching degrees at state accredited institutions of higher education who successfully complete one course in computer science.
