Prohibits written nondisclosure agreements involving sexual assault and sexual harassment as part of an employee's condition of employment under certain conditions.  Prohibits employers from retaliating against an employee for disclosing or discussing sexual harassment or sexual assault.  (HB488 HD2)

RELATING TO EMPLOYEE'S DESIGNATION OF BENEFICIARY FORM.

Allows an employee's designation of beneficiary form to be kept in the department where the employee is employed.  Permits the designation of beneficiary information to be filed and maintained electronically.  (HB941 HD1)

RELATING TO THE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM.

Specifies that overpayments of refunds and retirement benefits constitute a debt due and owing to the ERS by recipients of overpayments.  Authorizes the ERS to adopt and enforce rules to recover retirement benefit overpayments.  Authorizes waiver of benefit overpayments in cases of hardship or where the costs of recovery exceed the amount to be recovered.  (HB981 HD1)

RELATING TO ADDING THE ROTH OPTION FOR THE DEFERRED COMPENSATION PLAN.

Amends section 88E-12, Hawaii Revised Statutes, to allow participants to make both pre-tax contributions and post-tax contributions to the State Deferred Compensation Plan.

RELATING TO EQUAL PAY.

Conforms statutory prohibitions against wage discrimination with other prohibitions on employment discrimination.  Clarifies allowable justifications for compensation differentials and remedies for pay disparity.  Requires employers to disclose wage ranges to employees and prospective employees.  Exempts wage disclosure and discussion from the prohibitions on employer retaliation or discrimination if knowledge of the wages stems from human resources, payroll, or legal professional responsibilities in the workplace.  (HB1192 HD2)
