RELATING TO HEALTH CARE.
Requires health insurers, mutual benefit societies, and health maintenance organizations to provide coverage for a comprehensive category of reproductive health services, drugs, devices, products, and procedures.  Prohibits discrimination in the provision of reproductive health care services.

Status and Testimony

RELATING TO THE LICENSURE OF MIDWIVES.
Establishes licensure of midwives including scope of practice, professional code of conduct, continuing education requirements, and prescriptive drug authority.  Appropriates funds from the compliance resolution fund.  Exempts traditional birth attendants and Native Hawaiian healers from licensure requirements.
