DBEDT, California Energy Commission, Consumer Federation of America, Young Democrats of Hawaii, American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy, Hawai‘i Energy, Elemental Excelerator, Blue Planet Foundation, O‘ahu County Committee on Legislative Priorities of the Democratic Party of Hawai‘i, and an individual testified in support of this measure. The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers and Consumer Technology Association opposed this measure. The Public Utilities Commission, Plumbing Manufacturers International, and Gary Klein and Associates, Inc. provided comments on this measure.
As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Consumer Protection & Commerce that is attached to this report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and purpose of H.B. No. 556, H.D. 1, and recommends that it pass Third Reading.
