A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to Grants.
BE IT
ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general
revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $648,000 or so much thereof as may
be necessary for fiscal year 2019-2020 as a grant pursuant to chapter 42F,
Hawaii Revised Statutes, to Hawaii Theatre Center for construction consisting
of an interior and exterior lighting upgrade and replacement of the emergency
lighting transfer system.
The sum appropriated shall be expended by
the department of accounting and general services for the purposes of this
section.
SECTION 2. There is appropriated out of the general
revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $1,000,000 or so much thereof as may
be necessary for fiscal year 2019-2020 as a grant pursuant to chapter 42F,
Hawaii Revised Statutes, to Ka Lima O Maui, Ltd., for construction of
facilities.
The sum appropriated shall be expended by
the department of human services for the purposes of this section.
SECTION 3. There is appropriated out of the general
revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $500,000 or so much thereof as may
be necessary for fiscal year 2019-2020 as a grant pursuant to chapter 42F,
Hawaii Revised Statutes, to Kauai Habitat for Humanity, Inc. for the
construction of an affordable housing subdivision.
The sum appropriated shall be expended by
the Hawaii housing finance and development corporation for the purposes of this
section.
SECTION 4. There is appropriated out of the general
revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $414,000 or so much thereof as may
be necessary for fiscal year 2019-2020 as a grant pursuant to chapter 42F,
Hawaii Revised Statutes, to Central Oahu Youth Services Association for plans,
design, and construction for phase 2 interior renovations of shelter homes.
The sum appropriated shall be expended by
the department of human services for the purposes of this section.
SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2019.
