A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to marine life conservation districts.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 190, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§190- Hau‘ula beach
park marine life conservation district; established. (a)
The department of land and natural resources shall establish the Hau‘ula beach park marine life
conservation district extending seaward for one mile from the shoreline of Hau‘ula beach park area identified
by TMK nos. 1-5-4-0-010-330-0000; 1-5-4-0-010-640-0000; 1-5-4-0-010-350-0000; and 1-5-4-0-010-360-0000 to state marine
waters.
(b) The department of land and natural resources
shall adopt rules pursuant to chapter 91 as necessary to implement this
section."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
