RELATING TO THE NATIONAL GUARD. Allow the Department to recoup operating costs when the department allows for temporary facility use to the public. Currently, the law requires all monies received from the rentals shall be deposited into the general fund of the State.

RELATING TO THE CHARGEABLE TRANSIENT QUARTERS REVOLVING FUND. Creates a Chargeable Transient Quarters revolving fund into which lodging and billet fees are deposited and accounted for.

RELATING TO THE MILITARY. Appropriates funds for the establishment of one full-time equivalent cyberanalyst position within the state Department of Defense. (HB2696 HD1)

RELATING TO DIVORCE. Disallows a court, when dividing property upon the dissolution of a marriage, from considering military disability benefits or from indemnifying or awarding the veteran's spouse for waivers or reductions in military pay related to disability benefits.

RELATING TO INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS. Appropriates funds for the University of Hawaii, in collaboration with the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism to fund one or more programs sponsored or organized by the University of Hawaii community colleges or a four-year campus to implement international college experiences for Hawaii students enrolled at a University of Hawaii campus. DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW
Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing. Testimony should indicate:
· Testifier's name with position/title and organization;
· The Committee(s) to which the comments are directed;
· The date and time of the hearing; and
· Measure number.
While every effort will be made to incorporate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

WEB: For testimony less than 20MB in size, transmit from http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/submittestimony.aspx.
Testimony submitted will be placed on the legislative website. This public posting of testimony on the website should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
