RELATING TO ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS.
Extends the sunset date of the limited exemption from licensing requirements
for electrical contractors who are retained by a public utility within the
State to perform high voltage (600 volts or higher) electrical work and are
deemed qualified by the public utility. Requires reports to the Legislature
on workforce development activities for qualified high voltage electrical
contractors. Takes effect 1/1/3000. (SD1)

RELATING TO PRIVATE DETECTIVES AND GUARDS.
Prohibits private detectives and guards from self-identifying as law
enforcement officers, police, or police officers and from wearing or using
any badge, uniform, equipment, vehicle, or other accoutrement capable of
being associated with that of a law enforcement officer employed by a
government law enforcement organization. (HB2061 HD1)

RELATING TO CHILD CARE.
Deletes the Department of Human Services' obligation to determine required
liability insurance coverage amounts for regulated child care providers.
Extends the implementation and enforcement date of liability insurance
requirements for regulated child care providers contained in Act 161, Session
Laws of Hawaii 2017, until July 1, 2019. (HB2530 HD1)
