RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE REPAIRS. Establishes the Vehicle Repair Practices Task Force to study and report on vehicle repairs made with original equipment manufacturer parts versus aftermarket parts and the effects of the use of such parts on automobile insurance coverage and costs. (HB1620 HD2)

RELATING TO CONSUMER PROTECTION. Prohibits a merchant from adopting a warranty policy that requires a customer to pay an additional fee to obtain a repair, replacement, or refund for goods returned pursuant to the warranty. (HB1621 HD1)

RELATING TO FRANCHISE INVESTMENT LAW. Requires franchisees to disclose their non-participation in advertising campaigns of the franchisor in which discounts or promotions are offered. Prohibit franchisors from limiting or restricting the disclosures. (HB1623 HD1)

RELATING TO THE LANDLORD TENANT CODE. Provides a specific exemption to the landlord tenant code for sellers who occupy the residential real property after the transfer of the seller's ownership rights. (HB1869 HD1)

RELATING TO CONSUMER CREDIT REPORTING AGENCIES. Eliminates the fee charged by a consumer credit reporting agency to place, lift, or remove a security freeze requested by a consumer, protected consumer, or a protected consumer's representative. Allows a consumer to request a security freeze at any time. (HB2342 HD1)

RELATING TO PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS. Establishes bi-annual requirement of 40 credit hours in specified continuing medical education programs for renewal of physician assistant license. Authorizes the Hawaii Medical Board to conduct random document audits to enforce compliance. (HB2578 HD2)

RELATING TO CONDOMINIUMS. Requires annual distribution of any policy stating that the association may deduct and apply portions of common expense assessments to unpaid late fees, legal fees, fines, and interest and that such policy be included in any agreement by an owner that allows the association to automatically withdraw assessments from an owner's bank account. Requires an association to disclose certain information upon demand for payment of an assessment. (HB1873 HD1)

RELATING TO BOARDS. Removes the word "Examiners" from the names of the State Board of Chiropractic Examiners, Board of Dental Examiners, Board of Examiners in Optometry, and Board of Veterinary Examiners. Renames the boards with titles that more accurately reflect their scope and duties. (HB2060 HD1)

RELATING TO DENTISTRY. Amends the ethics training requirement for dentists in the continuing education program to be six hours of ethics training within the previous two years. (HB2149 HD1)

RELATING TO DENTAL ASSISTANTS. Requires the Board of Dental Examiners to adopt rules to establish a regulatory structure for the regulation of dental assistants in Hawaii. (HB2207 HD2)

RELATING TO BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS. Clarifies the scope of practice of behavior analysis to mean the practice of applied behavior analysis. Broadens and clarifies the exemption of licensed or credentialed practitioners practicing within their own recognized scopes of practice who are already exempt from the Behavior Analyst Law.
