RELATING TO ATHLETIC TRAINERS. Makes permanent the regulation of athletic trainers. Clarifies that an individual who accompanies an athlete or team of athletes into this State for a temporary period is not required to possess a valid license, registration, or certification from another jurisdiction if that jurisdiction does not regulate athletic trainers.

RELATING TO LICENSING. Clarifies that the licensing requirements for hearing aid dealers and fitters shall not apply to audiologists licensed pursuant to chapter 468E, Hawaii Revised Statutes.

RELATING TO DENTAL LICENSURE. Requires the board of dental examiners to issue a license by credentials to a practicing dentist who is licensed in another state and meets other specific requirements.

RELATING TO MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELORS. Amends the practicum experience requirements for qualification for licensure as a mental health counselor.

RELATING TO THE SUPERVISION OF LICENSED DENTAL HYGIENISTS IN A PUBLIC HEALTH SETTING. Allows licensed dental hygienists to practice under the general or direct supervision of any licensed dentist providing dental services in a public health setting.

RELATING TO HEALTH CLUBS. Requires health clubs to maintain a surety bond of at least $100,000 to be paid to any member who suffers loss of money paid due to the insolvency or cessation of operation of a health club.
