RELATING TO THE PESTICIDE USE REVOLVING FUND.

Increases the pesticide use revolving fund balance threshold from $250,000 to $1,000,000.

RELATING TO PESTICIDES.

Makes an appropriation to implement the recommendations of the joint fact finding study group's report on pesticide use by large agribusinesses on Kauai.

RELATING TO PESTICIDES.

Expands the membership of the pesticide advisory committee to include a representative from the DOE, each county mayors' office, a medical expert, and a non-governmental organization scientist.  Expands the duties of the pesticide advisory committee to include establishment of state standards for chronicity, recommendation to the legislature of specific changes to the State's pesticide laws and regulations, expansion of the good neighbor program, and establishment of a comprehensive buffer zone policy for the State.

RELATING TO POLYSTYRENE FOAM CONTAINERS.

Prohibits the sale and use of polystyrene foam containers statewide.

SB 3055

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO CETACEANS.

Prohibits the department of agriculture from issuing permits for the interstate, intrastate, and inter-facility transfer of captive cetaceans solely for breeding or entertainment purposes.  Exempts facilities that use cetaceans solely for scientific and educational purposes.  Defines cetaceans to include dolphins, porpoises, and whales.
