Your Committee on Labor & Public Employment, to which was referred S.C.R. No. 54, S.D. 1, entitled:
"SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE AUDITOR TO CONDUCT A STUDY TO ASSESS THE IMPACT OF MEDICAL BILL REVIEW COSTS ON THE STATE'S WORKERS' COMPENSATION SYSTEM,"
begs leave to report as follows:
The
purpose of this measure is to request
the Auditor to:
(1) Conduct a study to
assess the impact of medical bill review costs on the State's workers'
compensation system; and
(2) Submit a preliminary report on the progress of the study and its findings to the Legislature by January 1, 2019.
As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Labor & Public Employment that is attached to this report, your Committee concurs with the intent and purpose of S.C.R. No. 54, S.D. 1, and recommends that it be referred to your Committee on Finance.
