Your Committee on Judiciary, to which was referred S.B. No. 2662, S.D. 2, H.D. 1, entitled:

"A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS,"

begs leave to report as follows:

The purpose of this measure is to affirm the State's commitment to conservation and sustainability by codifying under state law Goals 1 and 3 of the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development to:

(1) End poverty in all its forms everywhere; and

(2) Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all.

The Department of Agriculture, Office of Planning, Department of Human Services, Planned Parenthood Votes Northwest and Hawaii, Hawai‘i Green Growth, Airport Concessionaires Committee, Oahu Economic Development Board, Oahu County Committee on Legislative Priorities of the Democratic Party of Hawai‘i, and an individual testified in support of this measure.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Judiciary that is attached to this report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and purpose of S.B. No. 2662, S.D. 2, H.D. 1, and recommends that it be referred to your Committee on Finance.
