Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred S.B. No. 2472, S.D. 2, H.D. 1, entitled:

"A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO HOUSING,"

begs leave to report as follows:

The purpose of this measure is to establish a Home Ownership Housing Revolving Fund to be administered by the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation (HHFDC) to provide loans or grants for affordable homeownership housing projects in accordance with a specific housing project priority list.

IMUAlliance, Life of the Land, Oahu County Committee on Legislative Priorities of the Democratic Party of Hawai‘i, and an individual supported this measure. The Department of Budget and Finance, HHFDC, Hawaii Habitat for Humanity, Honolulu Habitat for Humanity, Hawaiian Community Assets, Hawai‘i Alliance for Community-Based Economic Development, Housing Hawaii, Young Progressives Demanding Action - Hawaii, and an individual provided comments on this measure.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Finance that is attached to this report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and purpose of S.B. No. 2472, S.D. 2, H.D. 1, and recommends that it pass Third Reading.
