Your Committee on Ways and Means, to which was referred H.C.R. No. 166, H.D. 1, entitled:

"HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE FINALIZATION AND EXECUTION OF THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII'S TRANSFER OF THE OPERATION AND LANDS OF WAIALEE LIVESTOCK EXPERIMENT STATION TO THE AGRIBUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION,"

begs leave to report as follows:

The purpose and intent of this measure is to support the final transfer of the operation and lands of the Waialee Livestock Experiment Station from the University of Hawaii to the Agribusiness Development Corporation.

Your Committee received testimony in support of this measure from the Department of Agriculture; Agribusiness Development Corporation; University of Hawaii System; and Oahu County Committee on the Legislative Priorities of the Democratic Party of Hawaii.

Your Committee finds that supporting the final transfer of the operation and lands of the Waialee Livestock Experiment Station to the Agribusiness Development Corporation will assist the agency in implementing its mandate to advance diversified agriculture in the State.

As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Ways and Means that is attached to this report, your Committee concurs with the intent and purpose of H.C.R. No. 166, H.D. 1, and recommends its adoption.
