Your Committees on Public Safety and Veterans, Military, & International Affairs, & Culture and the Arts, to which was referred H.C.R. No. 126 entitled:

"HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE STATE TO STRENGTHEN ITS EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS BY REPOSITIONING EMERGENCY MEDICAL SUPPLY CACHES FROM OAHU TO THE NEIGHBOR ISLANDS,"

The purpose of this measure is to request the State to strengthen its emergency preparedness by repositioning emergency medical supply caches from Oahu to the Neighbor Islands.

The Oahu County Committee on Legislative Priorities of the Democratic Party of Hawai‘i supported this measure. The Hawaii Healthcare Emergency Management Coalition opposed this measure. The Department of Health offered comments.

As affirmed by the records of votes of the members of your Committees on Public Safety and Veterans, Military, & International Affairs, & Culture and the Arts that are attached to this report, your Committees concur with the intent and purpose of H.C.R. No. 126 and recommend that it be referred to your Committee on Finance.
