A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to government.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. (a) The auditor shall conduct an audit of the governor's phone, text, email, and other communication records related to the emergency alert messages that were sent out to the public on January 13, 2018.
(b) The auditor shall report findings and recommendations of the audit conducted to the legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the regular session of 2019.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
