A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO THE HAWAII TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The Hawaii technology development corporation is a key state agency in developing and supporting the manufacturing industry in the State through its manufacturing development program. The legislature further finds that continuation of the program is important and is in support of this industry.
The purpose of this Act is to support and sustain the manufacturing development program operated by the Hawaii technology development corporation.
SECTION 2. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $1,500,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2018-2019 for the continuance and administration of the manufacturing development program.
The sum appropriated shall be expended by the Hawaii technology development corporation for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2018.
