A BILL FOR AN ACT

RELATING TO THE STATE BUDGET.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. The legislature finds and declares that the appropriations made under this Act are in the public interest and for the public health, safety, and general welfare of the State.

SECTION 2. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2018-2019:

A. East Maui Water Systems, Maui

Plans, design, and construction for irrigation and water delivery systems for agricultural enterprises and/or agricultural purposes in east Maui.

Plans $ 1,000

Design $ 1,000

Construction $ 1,498,000

Total funding $ 1,500,000

B. East Maui Water Systems, Maui

Plans, design, and construction for water systems in east Maui.

Plans $ 500,000

Design $ 500,000

Construction $ 2,000,000

Total funding $ 3,000,000

SECTION 3. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 2 shall be expended by the department of agriculture for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2018.
