TO:     Senate Bill No. 2519, S.D. 1

            SECTION 1.  Senate Bill No. 2519, S.D. 1, section 2, is amended by amending page 2, lines 6 to 12, to include a provision that requires the contracts entered into to benefit agricultural and agriculture-related projects and to read as follows:

"§163D-    Municipal solid waste diversion. The corporation may enter into contracts with private businesses to remove select municipal solid waste, glass, and food and green waste from the waste stream for use in other business sectors, including agriculture, construction, and energy production; provided that any contract shall benefit agricultural and agriculture-related projects.  The corporation may adopt rules pursuant to chapter 91 necessary to carry out the purposes of this section."
