A BILL FOR AN ACT

relating to treasurers of candidate and noncandidate committees.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. Section 11-324, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by amending subsection (e) to read as follows:

"(e) The treasurer shall establish and maintain itemized records showing:

(1) The amount of each monetary contribution;

(2) The description and value of each nonmonetary contribution; and

(3) The name and address of each contributor making a contribution [of more than $25 in value]; provided that information regarding the employer and occupation of contributors of more than $100, in the aggregate, shall also be collected and maintained for a noncandidate committee."

SECTION 2. Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New statutory material is underscored.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
