A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE FORTY-FOURTH REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2018-2019:
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Kamaile academy public charter school, Oahu
Design and construction to install an air conditioning system in the cafeteria.

B. Kamaile academy public charter school, Oahu
Design and construction for two acres next to the school for future expansion; ground and site improvements.

Design and construction to create a parallel route for safety improvements, public access, preservation of existing infrastructure, and traffic congestion relief along the Waianae coast; ground and site improvements.

3. To be expended by the department of transportation:
A. Kalaeloa to Hakimo road, Oahu
Design and construction for extension of the fifth lane of Farrington highway for safety improvements, public access, preservation of existing infrastructure, and traffic congestion relief along the Waianae coast; ground and site improvements.

B. Paakea road, Oahu
Design and construction for a new permanent road for safety improvements, public access, preservation of existing infrastructure, and traffic congestion relief along the Waianae coast; ground and site improvements.

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2018.
