A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to epidemiologists.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 321-4.3, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended to read as follows:
"[[]§321-4.3[]] Epidemiologists. The department of health may establish [up to ten]
permanent or temporary exempt positions known as epidemiologists for the
purpose of investigating diseases and injuries which threaten the public health
and safety. The positions shall be
appointed by the director without regard to chapter 76."
SECTION 2. Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
