A BILL FOR AN ACT

RELATING TO HUMAN SERVICES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  Chapter 8, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

     "§8-    Hawaii Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month.  The month of April of each year shall be known and designated as "Hawaii Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month.  This month is not and shall not be construed to be a state holiday."

     SECTION 2.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
