RELATING TO SPECIAL DUTY FOR DEPUTY SHERIFFS.

Requires the Department of Public Safety to develop policy and procedures to govern the processing of requests from deputy sheriffs performing special duty and to establish a compensation schedule for law enforcement services provided by deputy sheriffs performing special duty.  (HB1129 HD1)

RELATING TO THE HILO COMMUNITY ECONOMIC DISTRICT.

Establishes the Hilo Community Economic District as a community development district located in East Hawaii under the Hawaii Community Development Authority.  Establishes the Hilo Community Economic Revolving Fund.  Repeals on the earliest of 6/30/2037, inclusion of lands within the District within a redevelopment area, or establishment of a special improvement district that encompasses the lands within the District.  (SD1)

RELATING TO EDUCATION.

Expands the National Certification Incentive Program to provide monetary incentives to school psychologists.  Authorizes continuing bonuses for teachers and school psychologists in certain designated schools that improve and no longer carry a certain designation.  Effective 7/1/2051.  (SD1)
