Hawaii is breaking new ground on the evolution of the electric grid, and energy storage technologies have been the center of discussion as Hawaii moves to effective use of its intermittent renewable energy resources while maintaining a reliable grid. Information from industry experts is vital to our success as we seek wise investments to meet our goal of 100% renewable energy by 2045.
The briefing will provide information on various storage technologies that offer potential solutions for Hawaii in meeting its 100% renewable energy goal by 2045. Presenters will tell us the latest commercial technologies in use and their applicability for Hawaii; deployment examples; and costs and benefits for Hawaii.
