RELATING TO WORKERS' COMPENSATION PHYSICIAN. Amends the definition of "physician" in workers' compensation law to include advanced practice registered nurses.

RELATING TO PROCUREMENT. Repeals the requirement that all applicants for procurement contracts for health and human services possess all licenses necessary to conduct the subject business. Repeals the requirement that all contracts include only costs, fees, and taxes reflected on the face of the proposal.

RELATING TO SMALL BUSINESS. Establishes and defines a three-year small business assistance initiative and its parts within the state procurement office to develop an effective small business state contracting program. Establishes a small business assistance coordinator position, small business office, and small business advisory group as part of the initiative. Appropriates funds for the administration and operation of the initiative. Repeals the initiative on June 30, 2020. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD1)

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW
Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing. Testimony should indicate:
· Testifier's name with position/title and organization;
· The Committee(s) to which the comments are directed;
· The date and time of the hearing; and

FAX: For testimony less than 5 pages in length, transmit to 808-586-6189 (Oahu) or 1-800-535-3859 (for Neighbor Islander without a computer to submit testimony through e-mail or the Web); or
WEB: For testimony less than 10MB in size, transmit from http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/submittestimony.aspx.
Testimony submitted will be placed on the legislative website. This public posting of testimony on the website should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
