A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to agriculture.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The purpose of this Act is to continue the work of the agriculture workforce development pipeline initiative to conduct training on all islands for teachers and school administrators in agricultural self-sufficiency.
SECTION 2. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $200,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2017-2018 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2018-2019 for the operations of the K-12 agriculture workforce development pipeline initiative.
The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of labor and industrial relations for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2017.
