A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING to CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE THIRTY-FIFTH REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2017-2018:
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Highlands intermediate school, Oahu
Design and construction for campus-wide electrical upgrades.

Construction $2,700,000
Total funding $3,000,000
B. Lehua elementary school, Oahu
Construction for phase one of a new administration building and library.
Construction $10,000,000

C. Manana elementary school, Oahu
Design and construction for an additional parking lot.

D. Pearl city high school, Oahu
Design and construction to clear drains and improve drainage along the stadium access road.

Plans, design, and construction for campus-wide electrical upgrades.

Plans, design, and construction to repave the KLM parking lot, cafeteria parking lot, and road to the band room.

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2017.
