RELATING TO HOUSING.

Appropriates funds to the Department of Human Services to continue to administer Housing First Programs for chronically homeless individuals.  Appropriates funds for the Rapid Re-housing Program for homeless working individuals or families who are ready to rent permanent housing to obtain and maintain permanent housing.  Appropriates funds for additional staffing to manage the rent supplement program.  Takes effect 7/1/2050.  (SD1)

RELATING TO INCOME TAX CREDITS.

Expands the low income-household renters' income tax credit based on adjusted gross income and filing status.  Applies to taxable years beginning after 12/31/2016.  (SD1)

RELATING TO THE HAWAII HOUSING FINANCE AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION.

Enables the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation to develop mixed-use developments in partnership with state and county departments and agencies. (HB2293 HD1)

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO THE DWELLING UNIT REVOLVING FUND.

Authorizes the creation of Regional State Infrastructure Improvement Subaccounts within the Dwelling Unit Revolving Fund and the use of the Dwelling Unit Revolving Fund to provide loans and grants to finance regional state infrastructure improvements in areas of planned growth.  (HB2305 HD1)
