RELATING TO PUBLIC SAFETY. Requires the Hawaii Community Development Authority to prohibit or restrict the stopping, standing, or parking of vehicles on sidewalks on private streets in the Kakaako Community Development District. (HB2092 HD1)

RELATING TO LAW ENFORCEMENT VEHICLES. Allows the Department of the Attorney General and the Harbors Division of the Department of Transportation to have law enforcement vehicles, with lights and sirens, that are recognized authorized emergency vehicles.

RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE INSPECTIONS. Expands authority of the Director of Transportation over required motor vehicle and motor carrier vehicle inspections in the State including the authority to adopt rules to set fees. (HB970 HD1)

RELATING TO THEFT OF BICYCLE. Requires consideration of a defendant's knowledge that a stolen bicycle was the victim's transportation to and from work or was necessary to the victim's employment in imposing a sentence for theft of a bicycle. (HB2645 HD1)

RELATING TO CROSSWALK SAFETY. Clarifies when a pedestrian is crossing the roadway within a crosswalk for pedestrians' right-of-way in crosswalks and when a pedestrian is lawfully within an intersection or adjacent crosswalk for traffic control signal purposes.
