RELATING TO EXEMPTIONS FROM CIVIL SERVICE.

Restores the second civil-service exempt deputy director position for the Department of Human Services.  For a period of one-year, provides a civil service exemption for various positions in the Department of Human Services, Department of Public Safety, Department of Health, Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, and the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism.  (HB2353 HD2)

RELATING TO THE HAWAII WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL.

Conforms the State Workforce Development Council Law to new federal requirements in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014, which supersedes the Workforce Investment Act of 1998.  (HB2362 HD2)

RELATING TO THE OFFICE OF COMMUNITY SERVICES.

Appropriates general revenue for one full-time equivalent position as grant administrative support personnel in the office of community services for fiscal year 2016-2017.  (HB1752 HD1)
