MAKING EMERGENCY APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE STATE TO COMPLY WITH THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT.
Makes an emergency appropriation for fiscal year 2015-2016 for the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations and the Department of Human Services to cover short-term costs required to comply with the Affordable Care Act.

Status and Testimony

RELATING TO HOUSING.
Establishes the housing for the homeless special fund and executive office on homeless identity protection to assist homeless individuals with the process, including associated costs, of obtaining a government-issued identification document.  Makes an appropriation.

RELATING TO MEDICAL ASSISTANCE.
Requires providers and health plans to gather data regarding homeless individuals' use of medical assistance programs.

RELATING TO LONG-TERM CARE.
Establishes a long-term care surcharge on state tax beginning on 1/1/2018 to pay for claims for defined benefits under the long-term care financing program.  Makes an appropriation to the department of taxation for costs of implementation and collection.
