Status

RELATING TO RECYCLING.

Increases the advance disposal fee for glass containers to 3 cents for containers less than 2 liters and 4.5 cents for containers 2 liters and greater.

HB 1524

Status

RELATING TO CLEAN ENERGY.

Establishes a property assessed clean energy program to promote renewable energy systems and energy efficiency improvements.  Increases a property's tax assessment to make loan payments.  Authorizes the issuance of revenue bonds and appropriates bond revenues to finance the program.

HB 2291

Status

RELATING TO RENEWABLE ENERGY.

Amends the "renewable portfolio standard" definition to more accurately reflect the amount of renewable energy generation in Hawaii by amending the renewable portfolio standard calculation to be based on electrical energy generation as opposed to electrical energy sales.

Status

RELATING TO SOLAR TAX CREDITS.

Allows a tax credit for individual and corporate taxpayers that provide either solar-powered air conditioning units or solar energy systems specifically designed to provide electricity for air conditioning units for schools.

HB 2236

Status

RELATING TO RENEWABLE ENERGY.

Replaces the current renewable energy technology systems tax credit with tax credits for solar energy property, wind energy property, and energy storage property.  Applies to taxable years beginning after 12/31/2016.
