RELATING TO RESPIRATORY THERAPISTS.

Makes permanent the regulation of respiratory therapists under chapter 466D, Hawaii Revised Statutes.  (SD1)

Status

RELATING TO TELECOMMUNICATIONS.

Includes the Director of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism as a permanent member on the Broadband Assistance Advisory Council.  Ensures a member from each county is represented through appointment on the council.  Authorizes the chair of the council to designate representatives of other interested public and private sector organizations to serve as members of the council or the work groups of the council on an ad hoc basis as needed.

RELATING TO TRAVEL AGENCIES.

RELATING TO THE PREVENTION OF UNFAIR LABOR PRACTICES.

Allows the Hawaii Labor Relations Board the option of serving complaints and notices of hearings via first class mail and also allows service by electronic means.  (SB2896 HD1)

RELATING TO HEALTH.

Clarifies the requirements for an individual to become a licensed dental hygienist.  Clarifies the allowable and prohibited practices and training requirements for dental assistants.  (SB3085 HD1)
