RELATING TO INSURANCE. Authorizes the Insurance Commissioner to issue limited licenses to self-storage facilities so that the facilities may sell to their tenants property insurance that covers the tenants' stored property. (HB 260 HD1)

RELATING TO MEDICINES. Allows for the dispensing of biosimilar medicines under specified conditions. Regulates interchangeable biological drug products. (HB254 HD1)

RELATING TO INSURANCE. Requires managed care plans to provide claims data annually at no charge to a large group purchaser if the large group purchaser requests the information and meets certain requirements. (HB2482 HD1)

RELATING TO MEDICINE AND SURGERY. Creates a limited licensing exemption for visiting sports team physicians. (HB1708 HD1)

RELATING TO REPORTING DEATHS TO STATE AGENCIES. Authorizes the Department of Health to continue to disclose, including through electronic means, lists of names of persons whose deaths have been recorded by DOH, to state agencies that maintain official lists of persons and are prohibited by federal law from sharing information for the lists.

RELATING TO THE PREVENTION OF UNFAIR LABOR PRACTICES. Allows the Hawaii Labor Relations Board the option of serving complaints and notices of hearings via first class mail and also allow service by electronic means.

RELATING TO WORKERS' COMPENSATION TREATMENT PLANS. Allows physicians to submit workers' compensation treatment plans to employers by facsimile, the Internet, or secure electronic mail. Requires employers to accept electronically submitted treatment plans and provide an electronic receipt of the submission.

RELATING TO USE PERMITS FOR SMALL BOAT FACILITIES. Authorizes commercial permits holders for small boat harbors to submit permit renewal applications early and be informed of any reasons for a nonrenewal prior to the expiration of the commercial permit. Authorizes a thirty-day grace period for persons who fail to timely file a commercial permit renewal application. (HB1733 HD1)

RELATING TO ENERGY TARIFFS. Requires electric utilities that use a time-of-use feature in its rate structure to include a credit to the eligible customer-generator for any net electricity produced during peak hours of usage. (HB1730 HD1)

RELATING TO RENEWABLE ENERGY. Amends the "renewable portfolio standard" definition to more accurately reflect the amount of renewable energy generation in Hawaii by amending the renewable portfolio standard calculation to be based on total renewable electrical energy generated from grid-connected renewable energy systems to the total electrical energy generated from grid-connected energy systems. RELATING TO SOLAR ENERGY FACILITIES. Allows a county that meets certain conditions to require solar energy facilities in farm dwellings in agricultural districts with a capacity of more than twenty-five kilowatts to obtain a special permit. (HB2636 HD1)

RELATING TO WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS SERVICE. Requires a wireless telecommunications service provider, upon request by a domestic abuse victim, to: (1) transfer billing authority and all rights to a wireless telephone number to the victim; or (2) remove or release the victim from a shared wireless plan and assign the victim a substitute telephone number without charge, penalty, or fee. Provides that there is no cause of action against a wireless telecommunications service provider, its officers, employees, or agents for transferring billing authority and all rights to a wireless telephone number to a domestic abuse victim.
