Allows the Contractors License Board, for contracting positions excluding elevator mechanics, to accept in lieu of a specific experience requirement for licensure, equivalent knowledge, training, or experience, including self-employed or unlicensed experience, if the board investigates and makes a detailed written finding available for public inspection.

RELATING TO HEALTH. Requires QUEST and Medicaid coverage for chiropractic care, limited to 24 visits per calendar year. Appropriates moneys. (HB1599 HD1)

RELATING TO ENERGY. Establishes the condominium sub-meter working group within DBEDT to examine installing sub-meters in condominiums.

RELATING TO EXPERIMENTAL TREATMENTS. Establishes the Right to Try Act. Authorizes manufacturers to make investigational drugs, biological products, or devices available to terminally ill patients who have given written, informed consent. Exempts from liability and sanctions, persons who are involved in a patient's participation in experimental treatments for terminal illness. (HB1013 HD1)

RELATING TO CONDOMINIUM ASSOCIATIONS. Requires board members of condominium associations to disclose significant financial interests prior to taking action that affects both the association and a third-party provider. Prohibits board members from receiving gifts from those types of third party providers. Expands the powers of the real estate commission to enforce violations by board members of disclosure requirements and gift prohibitions.

RELATING TO COMMON INTEREST COMMUNITIES. Establishes term limits on board of director members for planned community associations and condominiums. Establishes exceptions to term limits.

RELATING TO ORAL HEALTH. Appropriates funds to the department of human services to restore basic adult dental benefits to medicaid and QUEST integration enrollees. (HB1772 HD1)

RELATING TO HEALTH CARE. Establishes license requirements for suppliers of durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and related supplies. Deposits license fees from these suppliers into the Office of Health Care Assurance Special Fund and makes conforming administrative adjustments to special fund allocations. (HB1673 HD1)

RELATING TO PUBLIC ACCOUNTANCY. Redefines "peer review" to include reviews done by out-of-state public accountancy licensees. Increases deadlines for filing of peer review compliance reporting forms and appealing certain ratings from 10 days to 30 calendar days.

RELATING TO PUBLIC ACCOUNTANCY. Allows members of the public accountancy peer review oversight committee to be reimbursed for expenses. Protects the members from civil liability for actions done in furtherance of the purposes of the committee.
