Your Committee on Public Safety, Intergovernmental and Military Affairs, to which was referred S.B. No. 673 entitled:
"A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO THE PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL SPACE CENTER FOR EXPLORATION SYSTEMS,"
begs leave to report as follows:
The purpose and intent of this measure is to increase the number of Pacific International Space Center for Exploration Systems' Board of Directors members to eleven by adding the Director of the Office of Aerospace Development.
Your Committee received testimony in support of this measure from one individual. Your Committee received comments on this measure from the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism.
Your Committee finds that the Pacific International Space Center for Exploration Systems' collaborative technology efforts present the State with a valuable opportunity to leverage the State's unique geography and resources. Implementation of this measure will ensure that the appropriate stakeholders are leading the maturation and utilization of these pioneering technologies.
As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Public Safety, Intergovernmental and Military Affairs that is attached to this report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and purpose of S.B. No. 673 and recommends that it pass Second Reading and be placed on the calendar for Third Reading.
