A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE ANNUAL REQUIRED CONTRIBUTION FOR THE HAWAII EMPLOYER-UNION HEALTH BENEFITS TRUST FUND.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     Section 1.  The purpose of this Act is to make an appropriation for the annual required contribution for the Hawaii employer-union health benefits trust fund.

     The legislature intends that this appropriation be made in addition to any moneys appropriated for deposit into the Hawaii employer-union health benefits trust fund pursuant to other state laws, including Act 268, Session Laws of Hawaii 2013, and Act 119, Session Laws of Hawaii 2015, as may be amended.

     SECTION 2.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $           or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2016-2017 for payment of the annual required contribution for the Hawaii employer-union health benefits trust fund.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of budget and finance for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  The director of finance shall collect reimbursements from non-general funds for the appropriation under section 2 as authorized under chapter 87A, Hawaii Revised Statutes.

     SECTION 4.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2050.
