A BILL FOR AN ACT
reLATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE THIRTEENTH REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2016-2017.
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Molokai public library, Molokai
Library expansion
Plans $1,000
Design $1,000
Construction $4,998,000
Total funding $5,000,000
B. Paia elementary school, Maui
Plans
and design for an eight
classroom building.
Plans $1,000
Design $1,399,000
Total funding $1,400,000
2. To be expended by the department of defense:
A. Molokai veterans center, Molokai
Paving of parking lot
Plans $1,000
Design $1,000
Construction $293,000
Total funding $295,000
B. Molokai veterans center, Molokai
Septic tank
Plans $1,000
Design $1,000
Construction $100,000
Installation $3,000
Total funding $105,000
3. To be expended by the department of land and natural resources:
Manele small boat harbor
Fishing hoist
Plans $1,000
Design $1,000
Construction and installation $1,000
Equipment $75,000
Total funding $78,000
4. To be expended by the department of transportation:
Hana highway, Pilialoa street, Maui
Pedestrian safety and collision mitigation
Plans $1,000
Design $1,000
Construction $248,000
Total funding $250,000
SECTION 3. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 2 shall be expended by the designated expending agencies for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2016.
