A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE FIFTIETH REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $ or so much thereof as may be necessary, and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary is appropriated for fiscal year 2016-2017 for the purpose of capital improvement projects for the fiftieth representative district, as follows:
I. To be expended by the department of education:
1. Aikahi elementary school
A. Solar powered air conditioning units
Total funding $
B. Solar energy storage units
Total funding $
2. Kailua elementary school
A. Solar powered air conditioning units
Total funding $
B. Solar energy storage units
Total funding $
3. Kailua intermediate school
A. Solar powered air conditioning units
Total funding $
B. Solar energy storage units
Total funding $
4. Kainalu elementary school
A. Solar powered air conditioning units
Total funding $
B. Solar energy storage units
Total funding $
5. Kalaheo high school
A. Solar powered air conditioning units
Total funding $
B. Solar energy storage units
Total funding $
SECTION 2. The appropriations made for the capital improvement projects authorized by this Act shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal year for which the appropriation is made; provided that from the appropriations made for fiscal year 2016-2017, all moneys unencumbered as of June 30, 2018, shall lapse as of that date.
SECTION 3. The sums appropriated for the respective capital improvement projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2016.
